During those days, we had combat run almost everyday. Around 3 to 4km. Though we had to wake up like 5.30am, think of it in singapore timing was already 8am le. Running in semi-desert would only make u feel dried and not sweat, hardly any droplets from us. Kids there were scary, they would run near u, grabbed and ran away with watever things that they could see. It was actually a hard time for us, we got to be real careful on our equipment. hahaha cant imagine wat if the whole armour vehicle is stolen by them. Before e training start, we had to be in long 4 with beret on, and guess wat. Yes, a priest from india came down to gif us some blessings n ritual. He was charming some hindu words, cant really understand, could only hear "singapore armies" and again lost. SO FUNNY, we were waiting for the whole ceremony to end, and u know wat, suddenly out of nowhere, he mentioned take photos. Imagine everyone was listening attentively to his blessings, suddenly with those words coming from his mouth. hahaha that was when we knew the ceremony had ended with him taking photos with some high ranking personnel. Diao! Ya and we had dots on our forehead and some thread on our hand. Really thanks so much, at least I am safe now in Singapore. Throughout the field camp, we hardly had time to rest well. Even at night, we had to do some sentry and prowling, to ensure our things were not stolen. It was a 5days4nights camp with some live-firings going on. After a few days of rest, another 2 days of dry-run for the bilateral exercise. And finally the Real Bilateral Exercise with the Indian Armies. Yes and now we had more live-firings, shooting over 100 bombs. Cool. As it might be our last fire-living before ORD. After the whole event, we had party/gatherings with the indian armies. hahaha it was so nice, with fireworks in the start and end.. Will upload those photo soon as it was with my friend. There were also dancers, but a bit disappointing, it think it only attracted the indians and not us. Indian dance, Indian songs, Indian Language! hahaha but overall was alright, at least learn a bit of their culture. Oh ya, the power supply wasnt good, got cut off quite often. And there was a few nights with the light of the entire camp off. Wow. the only lights were from the stars n nowhere. cant even see my friends around me. the showering area was quite scary too, hahaha with just a touch on the tap, you can feel ur whole body vibrating. Yes electricuted. So what we did was to use towel to on the tap, if not the vibration will continue till ur whole body turns numb. Argh...Incrdible India ahahaha End of India Training! End of Day 18! (Day 19 onwards will be India Tour) |
